| Description |
On Columbia's, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 102's, middeck, STS-32 crewmembers use the inflight lower body negative pressure (LBNP) device in conjunction with detailed supplementary objective (DSO) 0478. Mission Specialist (MS) Bonnie J. Dunbar's lower torso is inside the cylindrical LBNP device as MS G. David Low adjusts valve and reviews DSO 0478 checklist. The circulation duct and the open airlock hatch appear behind Low's head. Attached to the forward middeck lockers are beverage containers, ARRIFLEX flim, and various checklists. Dunbar is also equipped with a headset and blood pressure cuff during the experiment. |
