A state of emergency is still in effect in Canberra, Australia with very hot, dry and windy conditions predicted over the next couple of days. A fire continues to burn in the McIntyre Hut area north-west of Canberra. Another fire, the Gudgenby fire, continues to burn to Canberra's south. There is a total fire ban in force in the region for the next six days. |
