American ASTP prime crew in debriefing session following simulation
Description:
The three American ASTP prime crew astronauts participate in a debriefing session in bldg 5 following an Apollo Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) simulation at JSC. They are seated at the Apollo Command Module Simulator console. The crewmen, from the foreground, are Vance D. Brand, command module pilot; Donald K. Slayton, docking module pilot; and Thomas P. The man in the background wears a face mask to help protect the three ASTP crewmen from possible exposure to disease prior to their July 15 launch.
