Description:
Astronauts Alan L. Bean (left) and Charles Conrad Jr., two crewmen of the Apollo 12 lunar landing mission, are pictured during a geological field trip and training at a simulated lunar surafce area near Flagstaff, Arizona. Bean and Conrad are scheduled to participate in extravehicular activity on the lunar surface. Here, Conrad gets a close look through hand lens at the stratography of a man-dug hole while Bean looks on.
